The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Blowout Results from Amazon.com or Durable Goods

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

• Earnings from Amazon.com (AMZN)...it is said the "Online retailer trounces estimates, raises guidance and announces share buyback"...
• Earnings from Boeing (BA)...
• A strong-than-expected durable goods report...
• A competing offer for ABN Amro...
• Word of $10 one-way airline tickets...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is...well...who am I kidding - it is all about the Dow hitting 13,000. This is the biggest thing since the last biggest thing and it will remain the biggest thing for sometime to come - just flip on the TV if you don't believe me.

I was going to try to argue that this story - Pregnant cow runs riot across city - was just one more sign of the looming animal uprising as "the Charolais cow lashed out at cars, benches, garden fences and whatever else got in her way" but I am just fooling myself...

I have bought into the hype. I will now go by the internet handle of Nick13k...
