Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

• Better-than-expected earnings from Microsoft (MSFT)...the software behemoth posted earnings of 50 cents per share, compared to estimates of 46 cents from Reuters...
• A weaker-than-expected GDP report...this report marks the slowest growth in four years and concerns about inflation appear to be alarming the market...
• Earnings from Baidu.com (BIDU)...the stock is indicated up more than 20 percent...
• Earnings from Chevron (CVX)...
• A move by Amazon.com (AMZN) to open up its distribution network to items listed on the web, including those on eBay (EBAY)...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Who me? Researcher creates robot double...according to the article "A Japanese researcher has managed it, through a robot that looks and moves exactly like him...When you poke its face, the robot grimaces like a real human"...
