The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Blackstone IPO, Changes By S&P, or Internet Radio
Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...
- Continued private equity IPO buzz as Blackstone (BX) rolls out today and reports say Kohlberg Kravis Roberts isn't far behind...
- Changes to the Standard & Poor's indices...
- A protest from Internet radio sites over "ludicrously high" fees being imposed...
- Word that "Google (GOOG) Is Watching You"...
- Comments that say Ask.com "searches can be more useful than those of its bigger rivals—though it won't unseat search kingpin Google"...
- A "rescue" plan from Bear Stearns (BSC) "to stop creditors from seizing assets of its money-losing hedge funds"...
- A ruling by the Supreme Court that makes it hard for "investors who want to sue companies and executives because of suspected fraud"...
While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Armwrestler sends lookalike to weigh-in...according to the article, "A Russian armwrestler was disqualified for cheating at a European competition after attempting to move to a lower weight class by sending a lookalike to the weigh-in"...luckily, for the integrity of the sport, "officials discovered the fraud before the competition started"...
I am shocked at such treachery and deceitfulness - what would Lincoln Hawk say about this?
