The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Comments from the Saudi Oil Minister or Intel's New Chip
Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...
- Comments from the Saudi Arabian Oil Minister that more oil cuts are not needed...
- A new chip from Intel (INTC) which is said to be the fastest ever made...
- Expectations about what Fed chairman Ben Bernanke may say in his semi-annual testimony...
- Accusations that Google (GOOG) is "benefiting from the sale of pirated movies and providing business support to two Web sites suspected of offering access to illegal film downloads"...
- A look into the continuing controversy surrounding Maria Bartiromo, the CNBC anchor who "recently trademarked her 'Money Honey' nickname"...
While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Students charged in online snow-day hoax...according to police "Two teenage girls posted a fake announcement on their school district's Web site that said school was closed for the day due to winter weather"...the best part of the story is the supreme deductive reasoning of the superintendent who figured out the clever ruse and said - "I didn't make that call, and I'm the guy who does, so I knew something was up"...
