The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Consumer Price Index or YouTube's Battle with Viacom

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • The consumer price index which showed a slightly higher-than-expected reading of 0.4 percent...the "core CPI" number showed an increase of 0.2 percent, matching expectations...the market reaction to this report can be seen below...
  • A look into the battle between Viacom (VIA) and Google's (GOOG) YouTube unit...
  • An argument that gold has become "a victim of its own success"...
  • A discussion of General Motors (GM) after the company "warned investors on Thursday that its performance was threatened by "ineffective" controls over financial reporting, including inadequately trained personnel and failure to obtain management's approval for some transactions"...
  • An attempt to avoid criticism by JetBlue (JBLU) as the airline cancels "215 flights Friday because of a winter storm on the East Coast"...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Finally, something good about being old.....it would seem that a brothel in Germany is offering a...well...a...discount to senior citizens...call it the early-bird special...

Why is this the biggest news of the day? Because it might explain the creepy smirk we saw on "old Nick" -

Sorry - that picture is just too creepy not share again...and again...and again...I don't want to be a dirty old man!
