The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not GlaxoSmithKline's Avandia Concerns or Ameritrade Merger Push

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • Concerns about GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) diabetes drug Avandia...
  • A push for TD Ameritrade (AMTD) to merge...hedge funds JANA Partners and S.A.C. Capital Advisors argue - "TD Ameritrade can dramatically increase long-term shareholder value through a combination with E-Trade Financial or Charles Schwab"...
  • Word that Prudential Financial (PRU) is killing its equity research efforts...the company "is dropping coverage of the sectors and companies it covers"...
  • A look into the current prospects, or lack thereof, for an interest rate cut...
  • Some words of caution on the market rally...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Police find 'werewolf' link to violence...yes you read that correctly...straight from London - "A police force is to put more officers on the streets during full moons because they believe the lunar cycle may be linked to violent behaviour"...an inspector with the Sussex Police is quoted as saying - "I compared a graph of full moons and a graph of last year's violent crimes and there is a trend"...

Holy @#$% - does this mean An American Werewolf in London was true story?!?!?!?
