The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Chatter of a F, GM Merger

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • News that General Motors (FM) and Ford Motor (F) have discussed a merger...
  • Bearish views that say "a voluble minority of economists continues to warn of a coming recession..."
  • A new chip that uses laser beams...
  • Optimism on Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) [subscription required] where it is argued that "Its stock has fallen victim to commodity pessimism. If the pessimists are wrong, Cleveland-Cliffs ought to reward investors, either independently or as part of a larger mining company..."
  • Friday's buyout agreement of Freescale Semiconductor (FSL)...
  • This look into Baidu (BIDU) which says "Baidu is doing what no other Internet company has been able to do: clobbering Google and Yahoo in its home market..."

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is that a man who can "pop his eyeballs out of their sockets at least 7 millimeters" was laid off from a job of scaring visitors in a haunted house...it makes you wonder what you need to do to get a job there...click here to see the photo of the "pop"...
