The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not the Employment Report

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

• The monthly employment report which showed data that was more or less inline with expectations...
• A ruling that bars the generic form of Plavix and is giving Bristol-Myers (BMY) a pre-open lift...
• Reports that Intel (INTC) may be cutting its workforce by 10 percent...
• A story that discusses how consumers just keep spending and says that the "steady and unwavering downtrend in the personal savings rate through July should be of particular note to economists..."
• A bit of optimism [subscription required] on American Tower (AMT) ...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is that we are going to the moon! This appears to be giving a boost to Lockheed Martin (LMT) shares but who cares about that. We are going to the moon!
