The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Amgen (AMGN), Genentech (DNA), Citigroup (C) or Alt-A Loans

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • A look into how some fund managers view Citigroup (C)...
  • Some downbeat comments on biotech behemoths Amgen (AMGN) and Genentech (DNA)...
  • A sign of "further deterioration in the credit market" involving Alt-A loans...
  • An outline of the major players in the subprime quagmire...
  • Expectations as to what the looming earnings season may bring...
  • Skepticism on Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) as it is said "cash appears to be a looming problem at AMD" and "Working with Dell is not turning out to be the nirvana that AMD had hoped for"...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Mouse delays Vietnamese flight 4 hours...according to the article "A fugitive mouse delayed the departure of a Japan-bound airliner for more than four hours Sunday as technicians hunted down the potential threat"...the delay was needed as there were concerns the fury rebel would "chew through a vital wire"...

Regular readers of this space will, of course, realize that the title of this article was clearly crafted by someone who doesn't want you to know about the looming animal uprising...a more apt title would have been "Courageous workers foil plan to potentially bring down plane"...the battle lines are clearly being drawn as we have:

...and now the mice all joining forces. And let's not forget about that creep carnivorous cow. Though if the cows start eating other animals I guess that could mean they are on our side? Until the food supply runs thin...
