The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Yahoo, J.P. Morgan, Intel, Altria, or India's Stock Market

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • Earnings from Yahoo (YHOO)...
  • Earnings from J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM)...
  • Earnings from Intel (INTC)...
  • Earnings from Altria Group (MO)...
  • A decline in demand for U.S. financial assets...
  • Comments from Henry Paulson that "The meltdown in housing is worse than expected and has not yet hit bottom"...
  • Losses for "India's red-hot stock markets" after plans for new regulations...
  • Chatter about Apple's (AAPL) operating system X Leopard...
  • A look into earnings from IBM and Intel (INTC) saying - "The duo's strong third-quarter results indicate the sector hasn't been hurt by housing's troubles or the credit crunch. But can it last?"...
  • Further excitement on Yahoo's (YHOO) earnings as it is proclaimed - "Woo-hoo for Yahoo! and Yang"...
  • A look at "uncertainties" at Yahoo...
  • Chatter about oil breaking the $100 mark...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest new is this pair of articles related to politics...sort of...

I don't think there is really anything I can add to this news...
