Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

• Barron's bullish cover story [subscription required] Aetna (AET)...
• Continuing concerns over Iran and the impact on oil...
• A new product from Sandisk (SNDK) to compete with the iPod Nano...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is the shocking news that "Snakes on a Plane" didn't live up the hype. Shocking...

As my colleague Beth Gaston Moon pointed out, Time Warner (TWX) could have used some assistance. On the bright side though, at least Time Warner still has its mining operation...
