The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Apple's Macworld iPhone Announcement or the Oil Drop
Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...
- Expectations that Apple Computer (AAPL) will announce a cellular phone (formerly known as the "iPhone") at today's Macworld Expo...it is expected that Cingular Wireless will be the service provider...
- Today's drop in oil which is being driven by "an unusually warm U.S. winter and concern that funds were losing interest in oil"...
- Speculation that Gap (GPS) is putting itself on the auction block after CNBC said that Goldman Sachs Group had been hired to pursue "strategic alternatives"...
- A bit of optimism on Danaher (DHR) and Sysco (SYY)....
While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Bangkok office introduces daily nap time...according to the article - "a new program to increase productivity: Lights go out just past noon and civil servants are invited to take an afternoon nap"...I am usually one to loathe new office "fads" but I really think this is something that I could get into!!!...if we could only get the market to close during that time I would be set...
