The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Earnings from eBay, Qualcomm, Nokia, or Ford

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • Earnings from eBay (EBAY)...the online auctioneer posted better-than-expected numbers and the stock is currently bid up 12 percent in pre-open action...
  • Earnings from Qualcomm (QCOM)...the company also affirmed its 2007 outlook...
  • Earnings from Nokia (NOK)...
  • Earnings from Ford (F)...results came in below expectations and the headline declares "Ford: Biggest loss ever"...however, the stock doesn't appear to be getting hit in pre-open action...
  • Earnings from Netflix (NFLX)...the online DVD rental company beat expectations and the stock is indicate up eight percent...
  • A look into the challenges facing renewable energy...
  • Word that the Super Bowl Ads are here...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Boy's Screaming Kills Chickens?...according to the article"Hundreds of chickens have been found dead in east China -- and a court has ruled that the cause of death was the screaming of a four-year-old boy who in turn had been scared by a barking dog"...

Seriously?!?!?!?!...
