The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Dendreon's Prostate-Cancer Drug, Dell, or Googlezon

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • Positive comments for Dendreon (DNDN) as a FDA committee "found Dendreon Corp.'s experimental prostate-cancer drug, Provenge, to be safe and effective"...shares of DNDN are indicated up more than 250 percent in pre-open trading...
  • Details behind Dell's (DELL) comments about a potential earnings restatement and "evidence of misconduct"...
  • This morning's data on consumer spending, personal income, and the PCE deflator...
  • Concerns that Google (GOOG) will become too powerful and takeover the world..."It's the year 2014, and Googlezon, a fearsomely powerful combination of search engine Google Inc. (GOOG) and online store Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), has crushed traditional media to bits"...(note - I did not make that up...)
  • Continuing turmoil at Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO) as shareholders vote to shake-up management...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story, coming once again from Mark "I am taking over your blog" Fightmaster, is this - No more showy tattoos for Marines...according to the article "The Marines are banning any new, extra-large tattoos below the elbow or the knee, saying such body art is harmful to the Corps' spit-and-polish image"...those who dare to buck the system could find themselves in "violation of a lawful order, punishable by up to 2 years in prison and a dishonorable discharge"...
