The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Potential BHP Bid for Alcoa or Bear Stearns Hedge Fund

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • Speculation that General Electric (GE) and Pearson are considering a bid for Dow Jones (DJ)...
  • A report that BHP Billiton (BHP) is interested in Alcoa Inc (AA)..
  • Trouble from hedge fund land as "Merrill Lynch (MER) has seized $400 million of its assets from a troubled hedge fund managed by Bear Stearns (BSC)"...
  • A story that says "private equity's expansion is crimping investment opportunities and boosting risks" for short sellers...
  • A warning "of possibly disappointing 'Spider-Man 3' toy sales"...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Robot hosts South Korean wedding...according to the article, "A robot on Sunday acted as master of ceremonies at a South Korean wedding in what its creators claimed as a world first"...

As I have warned before, it is all fun and games until the robots revolt and try to take over the world...
