The! Biggest! News! of! the! Day! - Not Cisco Systems, First Solar, Morgan Stanley, Wal-Mart Stores or Aqua Dots

Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...

  • A lackluster forecast from Cisco Systems (CSCO)...
  • A strong earnings report from First Solar Inc. (FSLR) that has the stock up 30%...
  • The recall of the Chinese-made toy called Aqua Dots after it was discovered it contains "a chemical that converts into a powerful date rape drug when ingested"...[Note - see comments below for more perspective...]
  • A write down from Morgan Stanley (MS) due to subprime woes...
  • A bid for Rio Tinto Group by BHP Billiton Ltd., (BHP)...
  • Upbeat comments from Ford Motor (F)...
  • Same-store sales from Target Corp. (TGT)...
  • Same-store sales from Wal-Mart Stores (WMT)...
  • An overall look at retail sales...
  • A look into "the upshot of the dollar's fall"...
  • Woes for Washington Mutual (WM)...

While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Bear with sweet tooth 'brakes' into van...according to the article, "A black bear put his own spin on trick-or-treating when it broke into a van to get Halloween candy. Police believe the bear dislodged the parking brake, causing the manual transmission vehicle to roll about 40 feet down the street before stopping on a shoulder"...

The bear tried to steal the van!!! I think it is obviously clear that this is a blatant cover-up by those who don't want you to know about the looming animal uprising.
